Advanced skin regeneration for acne scars, fine lines, pigmentation & more.
Microneedling is one of the most powerful treatments in skin revision—designed to stimulate collagen, improve texture, and address concerns like scarring, wrinkles, and discoloration.
At MirelaTheFacialist, I use the Dermapen 4™, a medical-grade microneedling device trusted worldwide for its precision and results. This treatment is ideal for clients looking to revive their skin naturally—without aggressive peels or lasers.
Why I Chose the Dermapen 4™

As a licensed Medical Beauty Aesthetician, I’ve tested many microneedling devices over the years—but when it came to choosing one for my own institute, the decision was clear.
I proudly use the Dermapen 4™, not only because it’s medically certified and trusted in clinics worldwide, but because it was also developed in Australia—the country that shaped a big part of who I am.
Dermapen 4™ has been voted the best microneedling pen in the world, and it’s easy to see why:
- Up to 1,920 micro-channels per second
- Digital precision for depth & speed control
- Minimal trauma, maximum collagen stimulation
- Sterile, disposable needle tips for optimal hygiene
- Safe for all skin types and tones
- Proven results for scars, pigmentation, and wrinkles
Sure, I could have chosen another device—like the US-made SkinPen—but I wanted to bring something proudly Australian into my institute. And honestly? Dermapen 4™ delivers the kind of results my clients deserve.
What Microneedling Can Treat

Microneedling is a powerful treatment for skin revision—stimulating the skin’s natural healing response to improve tone, texture, and structure from within.
At MirelaTheFacialist, I use microneedling to target:
- Acne scars (both fresh and old)
- Fine lines & wrinkles
- Sun damage and pigmentation
- Enlarged pores
- Stretch marks (face & body)
- Loss of firmness
- Dull, uneven skin texture
- Superficial vascularity (broken capillaries)
It’s ideal for clients who want real results without invasive methods—suitable for both women and men, and safe on many skin types when done with the right medical protocols.
Benefits of Microneedling
✅Boosts collagen & elastin production
✅ Visibly reduces acne scars & pigmentation
✅ Smooths fine lines & wrinkles
✅ Improves skin tone, texture & firmness
✅ Minimizes pores and roughness
✅ Suitable for face, neck, décolleté, and body areas
✅ Minimal downtime, long-term improvement
✅ 100% natural regeneration—no chemicals or injectables
Whether you’re looking for clearer skin, smoother texture, or simply a more youthful glow, microneedling offers real, lasting results by helping your skin repair itself—from the inside out.
How Microneedling Works
Microneedling uses ultra-fine, fast-moving needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This triggers your body’s natural healing process—stimulating collagen and elastin production while improving skin structure from within.
With the Dermapen 4™, I can adjust the needle depth and speed precisely based on your skin’s needs and the area treated. This allows me to treat even delicate areas like the eye contour, lips, and neck safely and effectively.
What to Expect During Your Treatment
1. Consultation & Skin Prep
We start with a detailed consultation and skin analysis. The skin is cleansed thoroughly and prepped with a sterile, soothing solution.
2. Microneedling Session
Using the Dermapen 4™, I create micro-channels in the skin while infusing it with a targeted serum—often containing hyaluronic acid, peptides, or other actives suited to your skin concern.
3. Post-Treatment Care
A calming mask or LED light therapy may follow to reduce redness. You’ll leave with a full aftercare plan and skincare advice tailored to your skin.
Treatment time: approx. 60–75 minutes
Downtime: Mild redness or sensitivity for 1–3 days (like a light sunburn)
How Many Microneedling Sessions Will I Need?
Visible results can often be seen after just one treatment—but optimal results usually come from a personalized series, tailored to your skin goals and treatment depth.
Depending on your skin condition and how deeply we treat:
· Mild concerns (like melasma or pigmentation):
May be treated with more frequent, shallower sessions every 2–3 weeks
· Advanced skin revision (like scarring, fine lines, collagen induction):
Deeper sessions are spaced every 4–6 weeks to allow full regeneration
Every skin is different—so we’ll create a custom treatment plan based on your skin’s condition, goals, and how your skin responds. This ensures you get the best results in the safest, most effective way.

Is Microneedling Right for You?
While microneedling is safe and effective for many, there are a few cases where treatment is not recommended:
- Active acne or skin infections
- Blood disorders or use of anticoagulant medication
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Recent facial surgery or filler/Botox in the last 2 weeks
- Uncontrolled diabetes or autoimmune conditions
Your safety is my top priority. We’ll go through a full consultation before your first session to make sure microneedling is right for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is microneedling painful?
Microneedling may feel like a light prickling or tickling sensation—especially around bony or sensitive areas—but most clients find it very tolerable without numbing cream.
I generally avoid numbing creams because they can interfere with the skin’s absorption and healing, and I want you to get the best results possible. However, if you are highly sensitive or anxious, we can discuss numbing as an option during your consultation
Is there downtime?
Yes, but it’s minimal. Redness, sensitivity, or slight swelling may last 1–3 days depending on treatment depth.
Can I wear makeup after?
Please avoid makeup for 48–72 hours to allow your skin to heal and breathe.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
Yes, when performed by a trained professional. I adjust depth and technique to safely treat a variety of skin types and tones.
