Light Therapy in Munich
Light is energy – and we can use this energy to revitalise your skin from within. At Mirela The Facialist in Munich, we work with the medically certified Dermalux® LED system, offering you one of the most advanced methods for skin rejuvenation and problem-skin treatment.
Prices for Light Therapy in Munich
The cost of LED light therapy depends on your treatment goal, the duration and whether the light is booked as a stand-alone treatment or as an add-on to a facial. In many studios, individual sessions are short but highly effective and are often offered as treatment courses, since several sessions significantly enhance the effect.

Collagen Reactivated – What Is LED Light Therapy and How Does It Work?
LED light therapy (light emitting diode) is based on the principle of photobiomodulation. Just as plants use light for photosynthesis, our skin cells can absorb light energy and convert it into cellular energy.
In our institute in Munich, we use specific wavelengths of light that penetrate deep into the skin. There they stimulate the body’s own repair mechanisms: blood circulation is increased, inflammation is reduced and the production of collagen and elastin is boosted. The result is skin that regenerates itself and looks visibly fresher and more vital.
It is important to know that our LED light therapy is not UV light (like in a tanning bed). It is completely safe, heat-free and does not damage the skin.
The Power of Colours: Blue, Red and Near-Infrared
With the Dermalux® system we can use different wavelengths of light – individually or in combination – to target exactly what your skin needs.
Blue light (415 nm) – The Bacteria Killer
Ideal for acne and blemish-prone skin. Blue light has a strong antibacterial effect and specifically targets the P. acnes bacteria responsible for inflammation and breakouts. At the same time, it helps regulate oil production and calms the skin without irritating it.
Red light (633 nm) – The Anti-Ageing Booster
Ideal for acne and blemish-prone skin. Blue light has a strong antibacterial effect and specifically targets the P. acnes bacteria responsible for inflammation and breakouts. At the same time, it helps regulate oil production and calms the skin without irritating it.
Near-infrared light (830 nm) – The Healer
The deepest wavelength for regeneration and calming. Near-infrared light has a strong anti-inflammatory effect and speeds up healing. It is ideal for sensitive skin, redness (rosacea), pigmentation and for faster recovery after more intensive treatments such as microneedling.
Free Skin Analysis
Before we start any treatment, I want to get to know your skin properly. That is why I offer you a professional skin analysis so we can find out together what your skin really needs.
What Can Light Therapy Help With in Our Munich Studio?
There are many ways to use light therapy in our studio. We particularly recommend it for:
Acne and blemishes – to quickly calm inflammation and help prevent new breakouts.
Skin ageing and wrinkles – as an effective non-invasive anti-ageing treatment.
Sensitive skin and rosacea – to soothe redness and strengthen the skin barrier.
Pigmentation – to gently brighten and even out the complexion.
As an add-on – after a facial, peel or microneedling treatment, the light significantly boosts the results and shortens the skin’s recovery time.
Why Choose Light Therapy in a Cosmetic Studio?
You do not always have to go to a dermatologist for effective light treatment. At Mirela The Facialist, we combine medical-grade technology with the relaxing atmosphere of a premium institute.
Our Dermalux® system is clinically tested and delivers therapeutic light doses that go far beyond what small home devices can offer. During the treatment you simply lie back on a comfortable treatment bed, listen to soft music and switch off – it is a time-out for both skin and soul. Because the treatment works completely without heat or pain, there is no downtime. You can return to your day straight afterwards – with a fresh, radiant complexion.
Frequently Asked Questions About Light Therapy in Munich
Is LED light therapy the same as UV exposure?
No, absolutely not. UV light from the sun or sunbeds can damage and prematurely age the skin. Our LED therapy uses only the “good”, therapeutic wavelengths of light and contains no harmful UV rays, making it suitable even for light-sensitive skin.
How many sessions do I need?
You often see an instant glow after just one treatment. For longer-lasting results in acne or anti-ageing, we recommend a course of 6 to 10 sessions at short intervals (for example once or twice per week).
Can I combine light therapy with other treatments?
Yes – in fact, that is often the best option. We frequently use LED light at the end of a microneedling session, deep cleansing facial or chemical peel. The light calms the skin immediately, reduces redness and enhances the effect of the active ingredients that have been worked into the skin.
Who is light therapy not suitable for?
LED therapy is extremely safe and suitable for almost all skin types. We only need to be cautious if you are taking certain photosensitising medications (for example some antibiotics or isotretinoin) or if you have epilepsy. We will go through all contraindications together during your consultation beforehand.
