We check the hair density and skin condition. The skin on the back is thicker than on other parts of the body, so we adjust the laser parameters individually.
Step 2: Free Test Patch
We treat a small test area on the back or shoulder. This serves to check the skin reaction and demonstrate the feeling of the laser to you.
Step 3: Individual Treatment Plan
Due to the male hormone testosterone, more sessions are often needed on the back than on other areas (on average 8-10). We create a schedule with intervals of 6-8 weeks.
Step 4: The Treatment

How painful is the treatment on the back?
Pain perception is individual, but is usually described as moderate. It is comparable to a warm tingling or a light snapping on the skin. Since the back is less sensitive than the chest or intimate area, the treatment is generally highly tolerable.
Does laser help against ingrown hairs on the back?
Yes. Ingrown hairs often occur when hairs grow back under the skin after shaving or waxing. Since the laser destroys the hair root, no hair grows back, which means that no new inflammations or ingrown hairs can occur.
Can the neck area be treated as well?
Yes. Many clients have their nape (back of the neck) lasered to maintain a permanently clean hairline. This visually extends the time between visits to the hairdresser and ensures a well-groomed appearance even with short haircuts.
What happens with tattoos on the back?
The laser must not be used on tattooed skin, as this would destroy the color pigments and lead to burns. We carefully cover tattoos and only treat the surrounding skin. Hair removal directly on the tattoo is not possible with a laser.
How do the hairs grow back between sessions?
The treated hairs fall out after approx. 2-3 weeks. Hairs that were in the resting phase during the session grow back later. However, these are often finer and softer than before, so there is no stubbly feeling like after a shave.
